Rental prices in Tenerife vary based on geography and property type. The highest rates are typically found in the island’s tourist hotspots, especially along the southern coast, where many urban developments and holiday flats are concentrated.
Specifically, in municipalities like Adeje, Arona, and Granadilla de Abona, which encompass the primary tourist areas, the average monthly rental price hovers around 1,100 euros. Conversely, in the more remote areas of the island, particularly in the north, prices are more affordable, averaging around 600 euros per month.
The rental market in tourist areas
Tenerife’s tourist regions are favored by property owners for rentals, given the consistently high demand for holiday accommodations, especially during peak seasons.
Along the island’s southern coast, a wide array of rental options caters to the needs of holidaymakers. Flats and bungalows are the predominant choices, with monthly prices ranging from 600 to 1,500 euros, contingent on the property’s location and features.
The rental market in residential areas
In the residential areas of Tenerife, the rental market is active but comparatively less intense. Prices are more affordable and the supply of rental properties is greater. Rental prices in the northern municipalities, such as La Orotava or Tacoronte, start at 400 euros per month.
In the residential areas of the south coast, such as Los Cristianos or Playa de las Américas, prices are high due to their proximity to the coast and the abundance of services and leisure activities. In these regions, two-bedroom flats are usually rented for prices ranging from 800 to 1,200 euros per month.
